ZA Series of Automated High and Low Level Palletizers
The ZA-50 High Level Palletizer, the ZA- 20 and ZA- 30 Low Level Palletizers form the next generation in palletizing machinery. Using an innovative concept (patent pending), the ZA-50 and ZA-30 automatically stack bags, cases or bales on a pallet. The layer is deposited on the pallet concurrently with the assembly of the next layer, meeting high production requirements in a low-cost/high-value package. These model palletizing systems use modular components for a wide range of capabilities and a flexible layout. The ZA-30 has increased load capacity -- the load remains on the pallet conveyor. A single layer of product is lowered to the load to be deposited. The full load remains stationary on the pallet conveyor.
The ZA-28 line of High Level Palletizers was designed to serve a wide range of palletizing requirements using modular components. The ZA-28 series is a single-infeed line with rates starting at 28 bags-per-minute (Turn Post -- 5 bag pattern). Optional speed-up kits can bring the rates to approximately 35 bags-per-minute. The infeed can be on either the right or the left side.
Adding a second infeed line creates the ZA-48 series with rates starting at 48 bags-per-minute (Turn Post – 5 bag pattern). With speed enhancements, the ZA-48 can produce pallets up to 56 bags-per-minute (Turn Post – 5 bag pattern). The ZA line can accommodate many different layouts without additional engineering. ZA-15 Low-Level Automatic Palletizer line was designed to serve the low-entry palletizer needs that require an increased load capacity and higher rates than currently available. The ZA-15 series is capable of up to 25 bags-per-minute (Turn Post - 5 bag pattern). The system manages the higher rate by forming a layer concurrently with the placement of the previous layer. A wide range of products can be processed, including flexible packages (bags) and boxed products. Layer compression and last layer compression is integral to the operation.
Key benefits of the high level palletizers:
- Automatic squaring that eliminates the need to make mechanical adjustments when the product being palletized changes
- Interlocking fingers on opposing squaring plates insures superior squaring for all package sizes
- The top section can be rotated in 90 degree increments to accommodate a variety of pallet flow configurations with respect to the bag/package flow

- Common off-the-shelf components have been used where practical, reducing inventory requirements
- Structure components including new squaring systems, long-lasting replaceable wear strips on the layer forming plates, chain attachments, mainframe structure and more have been upgraded for increased strength and reliability
- Oversized tubes enclose the hoist chains for strength, while plate steel has been incorporated for maximum stability
- Advanced Operations Control Center using touch-screen technology and access to system parameters and maintenance statistics that allows the operator to create, tune and store multiple bag patterns
- Layer forming plates are motorized and ride on UHMW bearing surfaces, with replaceable wear strips – no high-maintenance or high-cost load bearing shafts. The palletizers can place gaps between bags on the layer due to the layer forming plate configuration
- Reduced installation wiring, using quick disconnect cables. Modular mechanics enables quick machine installation
