Jerry Henson, Manager – Print Services Mark Andy, Inc. With over 22 years of package and label printing experience, Jerry Henson manages two different Print and Technology departments, one at Mark Andy and on at Comco. Jerry began his career in print production as a press operator before moving into production management then on to plant management for successful converting and package printing companies. He has become and expert in many processes including narrow web printing and wide web printing and converting. His applications knowledge spans flexible packaging, decorative tissue, folding carton, film and PS labels just to name a few. After 14 years of success on the converter side of the industry, Jerry moved to the printing machinery supply side, heading up the demonstration, print testing and application development areas for Comco Machinery. For the past eight years, Jerry has successfully managed the Advanced Technology & Training Center for Comco and Mark Andy for the past three. Michael R. Pfaff - Paperboard & Folding Carton Press Sales, Mark Andy, Inc. Michael R. Pfaff has been active in the folding carton converting machinery business since 1984. Spending 1984 through 1989 with Bernal Rotary Systems, a pioneering rotary die and machine builder, he left to form RPM Systems and, after a seven-year run closed the company and began a second career as an independent consultant to the trade. In 2002 Mike signed on with Comco, then newly acquired by Mark Andy, as an exclusive consultant, working with Comco and it's customers to further the growth of in-line flexography for folding cartons. Mike is the author of numerous articles and columns for the trade press. His work has appeared in Paperboard Packaging, Flexo Magazine, Converting Magazine and several others. He also regularly addresses various industry organizations with presentations aimed at the economic advantages of in-line flexographic production of folding cartons. |
