Biography

Sharon Jaeger has been a Package Engineer for 23 years and a consultant with Farron Associates for the last 12 years. Sharon started her career working for small, local Southern California medical device companies that are now part of Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Baxter Healthcare. Package designs created for these device companies included a wide range of medical devices including heart valves, catheters and instruments. Package designs and systems developed by Sharon have been successfully implemented during her direct employment for medical device companies and her consulting career. As a consultant, Sharon has developed and validated packaging systems for medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech companies ranging in size from start-up to Fortune 500. Sharon has 18 years experience designing thermoformed package components. She has designed and implemented packaging systems that address: aseptic package opening and product presentation, sterile barrier and seal integrity maintenance, package tamper evidence, product thermal protection, cost effective manufacturing, efficient transportation systems and product/package testing within the guidelines of National and International standards. Sharon is a CPP (Certified Packaging Professional) with the Institute of Packaging Professionals, a member of ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) Subcommittee F.2.60, Medical Packaging, and a member of OCRA (Orange County Regulatory Affairs).
