The QS18U is the first ultrasonic sensor to feature the convenient installation and application flexibility of the WORLD-BEAM standard housing. The compact QS18U uses the industry`s most widely accepted 18 mm threaded nose and side mounting formats that - along with multiple bracket options, 50 to 500 mm sensing window, and push-button TEACH programming- greatly simplifies installation. An ultrasonic is ideal when the sensing target is made of clear or transparent materials, or the target surface color varies. It also delivers high accuracy in wet or dirty environments and provides reliable background suppression proximity sensing. The QS18U is the most competitively priced ultrasonic sensor for its size and capabilities.

| APPLICATION |
- Liquid Soap Level Detection: The WORLD-BEAM QS18U ultrasonic sensor monitors the level of soap in a tank in a car wash. The sensor is mounted atop the reservoir, aiming through the transparent top. The sound waves bounce off the surface of the liquid.
- Tinted Bottle Detection: The WORLD-BEAM QS18U ultrasonic sensor detects each bottle passing on a high-speed conveyor, despite the bottles` reflective surface. |
