Rotational moulding giant Promens (Reykjavik / Iceland; www.promens.com) has beat out private equity company CapMan (Helsinki / Finland; www.capman.com) and will purchase injection- and blow moulding group Polimoon (Oslo / Norway; www.polimoon.com) for NKR 1.35 bn (EUR 166m). Promens said it will allow Polimoon to operate independently and continue its current corporate strategy. Arne Vraalsen will remain as CEO. Polimoon meanwhile has secured a berth in the Russia with the acquisition – subject to regulatory approval – of packaging producer Novoplast from cosmetics group Kalina (Yekaterinenburg / Russia; www.kalina.org).
