On July 18, 2007, Carestream Health (Previous Eastman Kodak Health Division) held their 1st annual Supplier Event in Rochester, NY, the corporate Headquarters to Carestream Health.  The theme of this event was “Partnering for Success”. 

Carestream Health invited 136 key suppliers who make up $400 Million in annual purchases out of total of $916 Million annual total purchases.  These were the key suppliers out of over 1,000 total vendors to Carestream Health that were invited to this event.

The keynote speaker was Kevin Hobert, the CEO of Carestream Health Inc., sharing the vision of how Carestream wants to the leading global provider of health related hardware and software services.   To reach their goal, their “partnering” with key strategic vendors was critical.

During this event, Carestream recognized their 1st annual certified supplier through a recognition and award ceremony.  A certified supplier must go through a very difficult review of key performance indexes such as quality defect rate, on-time delivery, increased productivity, unsurpassed customer service and continued innovation in new products and offerings.  SKC Inc. met all of these goals in 2006 and 2007 and was recognized as Carestream Health’s 1st certified supplier in 2007.  Hojo Kim, CEO of SKC Inc., Jeff Hudspeth, Plant Manager of Covington and David Kim, Business Manager for Carestream related business accepted the award on behalf of SKC Inc.
