SAB Miller, the leading brewer with a strong international portfolio of bottled beers, has introduced SYNTACOL 035A  from National Adhesives in its Italian factories.

SYNTACOL 035A is a pure synthetic grade developed for maximum performance. High tack and fast setting, the adhesive keeps label slippage to an absolute minimum on both wet and dry glass bottle labelling applications.  SAB Miller is using the new adhesive on four production lines; two in their Padova factory where the unique Miller Genuine Draft is brewed and two others in their Rome and Bari factories.

SAB Miller switched to SYNTACOL 035A from a leading brand competitor because of its high performance, particularly for paper labelling on glass bottles where ice water resistance is necessary. In addition to excellent tack and set time, the adhesive is easy to clean and so minimises downtime for cleaning.

“Previously we were suffering from the frequent need to stop production to remove clogged glue and clean the machine,” commented the SAB Miller plant in Roma. “With SYNTACOL 035A, this is kept right down, meaning we can increase our production line capacity.”
