The PMP certification is available from the Project Management Institute (PMI), a not-for-profit organization that provides PMs around the world and in many industries with project management information, publications, certifications, and support. Project Management Professional certification is invaluable when managing projects for clients and quoting on bids where certification is a requirement. The Project Management Professional is a solid, globally respected credential.  Before project managers can earn a PMP, they must have experience in initiating a project, planning a project, executing a project, controlling a project, closing the project and professional responsibility.
