 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Distribution Simulation Tests used for simulating the typical events associated with the distribution environment:

- ASTM D 4169 Standard Practice for Performance Testing of Shipping Containers and Systems
- ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) Pre-Shipment Test Procedure

Package Integrity Tests involve evaluating material performance and finished package as produced on the packaging line.

- ASTM F 1608 Standard Test Method for Microbial Ranking of Porous Ranking Materials

Intact Package Microbial Barrier Test-Porous Packages include preliminary test validation with the subject package, followed by an aerosol challenge in the test chamber, package exterior decontamination, and subsequent sterility testing.

Microbial Ingress for Non-Porous Packages--Immersion Challenge Method: packages containing sterile growth medium are immersed in a buffer solution containing a known concentration of an indicator organism.

 APPLICATION

Used to asses the ability of a non-porous package to provide a microbial barrier
