Victor L. Dixon has been named president of Cortegra, the newly re-named pharmaceutical packaging business comprised of New Jersey Packaging and Creative Press. He will report to Arthur W. Huge, president and chief executive officer of Menasha Corporation, Cortegra’s parent company.
“Victor brings a wide range of sales, marketing and global management experience to Cortegra,” Huge said, “including a great deal of experience in pharmaceutical packaging. While we have made good progress in implementing our growth strategy for pharmaceutical packaging, his broad background will be particularly helpful in leading the further development and execution of the Corporation’s plans in this important business sector.”
Mr. Dixon was most recently vice president and general manager of the Life Science Business Unit of Kimble Glass Company. He previously held a succession of senior management roles at Alcoa Packaging, beginning in 1997. He also served with Copperweld Bimetallics Corporation, Service Wire Company and McJunkin Corp.
Cortegra grew its pharmaceutical packaging business significantly in 2006 with the acquisition of Creative Press in Evansville, Indiana, and the start-up of a folding carton printing facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. It focuses on business opportunities arising out of brand authentication and anti-counterfeiting protection within the pharmaceutical industry. Cortegra’s solutions include product identification materials to insure counterfeit drugs do not enter the market and sophisticated track-and-trace systems for pallet, case lot, and product levels.
