PFM Packaging Machinery will be showcasing their new machine, the PFM Pearl, designed for the food industry, during AUSPACK 2007. PFM will be exhibiting its products in stand 720 at AUSPACK 2007 which is to be held from May 1 2007 to May 4 2007 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
PFM Pearl has been developed for companies in the bakery, confectionery and produce markets. It is ideally suited for companies producing multiple size packs and contract packers.
PFM Pearl is versatile, highly flexible and comes with a host of advanced features. The fully servo horizontal wrapper produces a pillow-style pack in a variety of different sizes from a flat reel of heat sealable film.
PFM Pearl has an ability to operate at up to 120 cycles per minute and capable of wrapping a stream of different products in the food sector.
Highly operator friendly, the ergonomically designed colour touch screen can be easily adjusted to change all the machine operating parameters. These include the sealing temperature of the film, the fin-seal rollers and the transverse sealing crimpers, which can then be saved in the memory for subsequent recall.
A major advantage of PFM Pearl is that it automatically adjusts the bag length, print registration position, the crimping alignment and the wrapping speed to suit each application. The innovative film seal assembly includes three sets of rollers for film pulling, film sealing and film seal fold-over.
PFM Pearl has axis motion controller and brushless servomotors and each of the drive motors connects directly to the various assemblies. The electrical panel is housed inside the machine frame and protected from damage in the event that packaging takes place in a wet environment.
Using an elegant and rational design, the machine uses modular pre-assembled component units that can be easily accessed and replaced in the unlikely event of a machine failure.
Cleaning of the Pearl is simple due to the machine’s cantilevered construction and the easy uncomplicated removal of guards. In addition the use of polymer moulded components with graceful radiuses avoids the creation of unnecessary dust traps.
