Perfecseal, a global market leader in the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industries, announces registration to the ISO 13485:2003 Medical Device Quality Management System for its Perfecseal Healthcare Film manufacturing plant in New London, Wisconsin.  ISO 13485:2003 specifies requirements for quality management systems in which organizations demonstrate the ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet both customer and regulatory requirements.

The New London film plant has recently doubled in size and has added new state of the art high barrier film extrusion and laminating capabilities.  This new world class investment will further support Perfecseal’s ability to provide comprehensive high barrier solutions to the Medical Device, Medical Diagnostics and Pharmaceutical markets.

According to Matt Boswell, Director of Quality, “Perfecseal is in the process of upgrading our global ISO certifications from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 13485:2003.  We have plans for all locations to be certified to this new ISO standard by the end of 2008.”  The New London, Wisconsin, facility is the second Perfecseal plant to be registered to this standard.  The first, located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was registered earlier this year.
