Adalis Corporation, a global packaging and supply chain solutions company, today announced that it will be presenting at the Packaging Summit Conference 2007 in Chicago. Tom Blanck, manager of packaging solutions for Adalis, will share insight into the growing trend of sustainable packaging for the global supply chain, as well as discuss packaging optimization methods to reduce packaging and supply chain costs.
Blanck will lead a session on “Strategies for Increased Global Sustainability” taking place May 16, 2007, at 10 a.m., in which he will present how packaging improvements such as material reduction, optimization of pallets and efficient cube utilization can lead to increased sustainability and cost savings across the supply chain. The presentation will address ways to identify common “sustainability violators” and feature several sustainable packaging case studies.
“Sustainable packaging has created new opportunities for companies to apply new and innovative packaging processes while cutting costs and addressing ever-changing environmental standards,” said Blanck. “Through this presentation, we will demonstrate immediate tactics to improve the sustainability in existing packaging systems, as well as outline steps companies can take to implement effective sustainable packaging strategies on a global scale, all of which are top-of-mind for many organizations today.”
As packaging consultants to Fortune 500 and multi-national companies, Adalis provides outsourced packaging engineering services and solutions to optimize the supply chain through improved packaging development, handling and distribution processes.
Packaging Summit 2007 will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center from May 15-17, 2007. The annual conference focuses particularly on contract packaging and packaging services and involves a trade show as well as a conference speaker series.
