Some suppliers are developing RFID for intriguing uses in Pharma packaging. One company has developed what it calls Intelligent Pharmaceutical Packaging (IPP). Intended for data collection in clinical trials, IPP automatically records each dosage event with a time stamp, and can also be designed with an integrated, electronic patient diary, and audio signal reminders. The company`s SecurePak (SP) includes electronic data storage, tamper and damage detection.
