CAPE Systems will introduce a brand new and innovative technology in light directed picking systems, PicRite PLUS, as well as a new PicRite DASHBOARD that provides visibility throughout a company’s entire supply chain via desktop or mobile device.  In addition, CAPE will unveil a new automated Robotic Fulfillment system, which will automatically fulfill orders and build outgoing pallets using robotics and CAPE Order Fulfillment technology.

CAPE Systems will present the entire CAPE supply chain suite at ProMat 2007 — January 8 – January 11 at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, USA.

CAPE will be presenting in Booth 4856 and will demonstrate some of the following state-of-the-art features; track-mounted, eight position alphanumeric display modules, four multi-color LEDs/buttons per module for multi-user/multi-picker operations, less than 5-inches per pick face, rugged aluminum housing, ad well as benefits such as; modules that snap into track, and self-sealing pressure fit rails.

The new CAPE DASHBORAD provides visibility into all aspects of your distribution system from any location.  It is web enabled, viewable on desktops, portables, and cellular devices and highlights critical alerts and shows real time messages.  It will show critical systems performance factors, constantly updates so that real time information is always available and uses up-to-date information to allocate resources.

The new Robotic Automation technology uses PicRite® OFS/WMS controls for order batching and automated outbound palletization and analyzes orders to determine and control pallet build.  It will direct a robot to pick from the proper position while controlling the orientation and layer building.  Tracking every case that has been loaded onto the pallet and indicating when the pallet has been completed helps fully automate the order fulfillment process.

In 2005 CAPE Systems, a leader in the packaging and transportation software merged with Vertex, formerly DCS, which specialized in warehouse management and picking systems. As a result, this multi-million dollar alliance was a real milestone in the field of packaging design, palletizing and logistics software, creating a one-stop, single source of innovative supply chain software.

The enhanced CAPE Systems organization has enabled CAPE to provide an increased capacity to offer customers the full range of supply chain software solutions and greatly expand financial strength, staffing and customer support capabilities.  The packaging programs optimize pallet patterns, create new case sizes and product packaging, build display pallet loads, test the strength of corrugated board and much, more. The expanded product range includes complete warehouse management systems, transportation systems, cost savings and error reducing pick-to-light systems, and RFID capabilities.

CAPE is the only truly international company in this field with offices in London (UK) and Dallas (USA) and South Plainfield, NJ (USA), plus a network of representatives across five continents.
