Mondi, the global paper and packaging group, has added three tear-tape products to its corrugated packaging range following the upgrade at its factory in Mold.
Matthew Robinson, Mondi UK sales development manager, said Quick Strip, Stick Strip and Sturdy Strip would "improve packaging efficiency during distribution, storage, display and returns".
Stick Strip is for postal packages that need to be sealed and resealed quickly, such as mail order and online retail, and features a strong, easy-to-apply adhesive.
Sturdy Strip was designed to reinforce outer cases and transport packaging handle-holes without causing bulges.
Quick Strip is aimed at the retail-ready sector as it makes the pack easy to open without damaging its appearance. Robinson said: "Previously, tear tape has often proved ineffective and compromised the appearance and functionality of the packaging.
"The new Quick Strip offers a clean finish that is likely to prove popular with manufacturers and retailers keen to promote product sales during a period of slower consumer spending."
Mondi has operations in 35 countries and employs around 35,000 people. |
