USA Network takes a novel approach to promoting “Psych”, a detective show that debuted on July 7th at 10 PM on Fridays – see www.psych.usanetwork.com
On June 21st the Media Company advising the USA channel on the promotion of a new detective show contacted Roplast to ask whether we could manufacture process printed ice bags for distribution nationwide before July 4th holiday weekend. They had decided to take advantage of the high demand for ice over the holiday to get the word out about the new show.
The billboard affect of carrier bags has been documented in grocery and retail. Grocery chains such as Aldis are now using process print promoting their private label brands on grocery bags. But, this is thought to be the first time that ice bags have been used to promote a TV show.
Despite the short lead-time, Roplast was able to produce the bags and get them to the 10 major markets, from Boston to Los Angeles, by June 28th. Aside from promoting Psych the attractive print draws the consumers attention from your competitors brand.
