Material testing services include:
Flexure Tests - The most common and reliable of the tests for brittle material strength is three and four point flexure. These tests are performed on carefully prepared bar-shaped specimens.
Compression Tests - Materials behave differently in compression than they do in tension, so it is important to perform fixture and transducer tests which simulate conditions the material will be exposed to in actual use.
Tensile Strength Tests - Tensile strength tests are considered to be a realistic representation of the stress the material will experience during actual application.
Fatigue Tests - Fatigue tests are performed primarily for specimens that are used in structural applications where repetitive loads and strains require confirmation that the chosen material is appropriate for the application.
Performance Tests -Performance tests are often referred to as product or material tests. |
