Oil Resistant Flexible Control Cables
OLFLEX® 190 is a multi-conductor, 600 volt, 90°C, UL and CSA approved, oil resistant flexible control and power cable. The compact cable design permits easier handling and installation in confined operating areas. Our specially blended PVC jacket passes the stringent requirements of the VDE 0472 Section 803 oil test and now also UL AWM 21098 and oil res I and II, providing optimum resistance to mineral oils, synthetic oils and water based coolants. OLFLEX® 190 control cables are designed for use in all electrical equipment in dry, damp, and wet conditions. Recommended applications are machine tools, assembly lines, control systems, data processing equipment, connections between control panels and machines, CNC machining centers, grinding machines, and bottling equipment.
Flexible PUR & TPE Control Cables
OLFLEX® 490 P is a multi-conductor, flexible control cable with a rugged, abrasion-resistant polyurethane jacket. The polyurethane jacket is UV resistant and is resistant to mineral oils, cutting fluids and mechanical abuse typically found in machining and grinding operations. OLFLEX® 490 CP has an overall foil tape with drain wire and tinned copper braid that is recommended whenever electrical interference distorts signal transmission, or when EMI emissions need to be suppressed.
OLFLEX® CRF is a multi-conductor, chemical and oil resistant flexible control cable. The cable utilizes a specially formulated insulating and jacketing compound designed for harsh chemical applications where exposure to MEK, Acetone, Toluene, Xylene, turpentine, paint thinner and other industrial solvents and cleaners would cause rapid deterioration of standard PVC cables. Recommended applications include painting, printing, coating, film processing, wastewater treatment plants, chemical processing treatment plants, industrial food and beverage facilities - anywhere frequent cleaning is required. OLFLEX® CRF complies with NEC Hazardous Area standards for Flexible Cable use in Class 1, Division 1 locations. OLFLEX® CRF C has an overall foil tape and tinned copper spiral shield that is recommended whenever electrical interference distorts signal transmission, or when EMI emissions need to be suppressed.
Flexible Tray Cable
UNITRONIC® 300 is a lead free, rugged multi-conductor low voltage control and signal cable for internal and external wiring of OEM equipment for industrial applications. UNITRONIC® 300 has multiple approvals such as UL Type PLTC, UL CMG, UL Oil Res I, CSA CMG, and CE. PLTC with open wiring approval allows for use in overhead trays eliminating the need for conduit. With these multiple approvals, the cable can be used in process control equipment, electrical equipment, plant expansion, and other machinery. UNITRONIC® 300 also is UV Resistant and is approved for direct burial and meets Class 1 Div. 2 requirements.
OLFLEX® Tray II is a global multi-conductor, 1000 Volt, 90ºC, UL Type TC-ER* and MTW, c(UL) Type TC/CIC, CE compliant, oil resistant and flexible control cable with exposed run approval. It is also UV resistant and approved for direct burial. Due to OLFLEX® Tray II’s higher stranding, precision extruded jacket, worldwide approvals, and Lapp’s renowned quality, OLFLEX® Tray II is a superior alternative to stationary TC cables. These advantages make installations much easier and quicker, and ensure the cable will hold up to your industrial requirements. OLFLEX® Tray II control cables are designed for use in all electrical equipment in dry, damp, and wet conditions. OLFLEX® Tray II CY has an overall foil tape and tinned copper braid that is recommended whenever electrical interference distorts signal transmission, or when EMI emissions need to be suppressed.
Flexible Cables for Drives, Motors & Assemblies
OLFLEX® VFD Slim is a reduced diameter shielded motor supply cable for variable frequency drives. OLFLEX® VFD Slim is designed with “Lapp Surge Guard” to hold up to the non-linear power distortions associated with VFD drives. This cable has a specially blended PVC jacket that is TC approved for both UL and CSA standards for 600 volts. OLFLEX® VFD Slim is UL Type TC-ER approved.* It is also approved for 1000 volts by UL AWM and is c(UL) CIC and CSA AWM FT4 approved.
Lapp USA’s unique VFD Slim design is different when compared to other VFD motor supply cables, due to “Lapp Surge Guard”, a special semi-conductive insulation. This special material smoothes out the stranded copper, disperses increases in voltage caused by wave reflections, harmonics and spikes, preventing conductor and cable failure, thus eliminating downtime. OLFLEX® VFD Slim has a Corona inception voltage of 2900 volts. OLFLEX® VFD Slim also conforms to CE and NOM making it a globally accepted solution. Effective immediately, all new production will have MSHA approval.
