Label Printer Laminator and Butt Cut System

Springfield Vermont, June, 2006: The PCM Image-Tek Pro 5™ 3400E Laminator delivers an industrial strength laminated label for almost any environment. The lamination process produces the industry’s most durable labels with unparalleled protection from chemicals, heat, UV exposure and abrasion. The Pro 5™ prints, laminates and butt cuts labels on demand in a wide range of label sizes ranging from 1” x 1” up to 5” x 20” and integrates seamlessly with most thermal transfer printers. The unique “Intelligent” rotary butt cutter cuts continuous or die cut stock with precision and can adjust the label length on the fly from job to job without operator intervention.

The PCM Image-Tek Pro 5™ can be connected to the Intermec 3400E thermal transfer printer. After the label is printed, the laminator applies the overlaminate to the label and then the cutter cuts both the laminate and label through to the liner and rewinds the finished label onto a 3” core.

The Pro 5™ is the cost effective way to produce on demand type labels. It uses continuous roll stock, saving 20% to 30% or more over the cost of blank die cut stock. It reduces the need to inventory different size labels and allows you to print only the labels you need, when you need them.
