Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung paid a visit to Berlin at the beginning of March, where he met the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, together with the Minister for Economic Affairs Michael Glos and the Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit. One important objective of his visit to Germany was to promote trade relations. Consequently, Nguyen Tan Dung also held meetings with a large number of representatives from German industry and commerce. In Augsburg, he held talks with Manfred Gundel, Vice President of KUKA Roboter, and Bruno Geiger, Managing Director Asia/Pacific.
