KUKA Robotics has recently introduced the KUKA KR 40 PA™ 4 axis robot specifically designed for case packing to supplement its 6 axis robotic line. Constructed using a carbon fiber composite the robot arm is lighter, faster and less expensive than recent models. Packager’s should analyze their current and future packaging needs to determine which case packing method is right for them. If you manufacture in today’s world where product life cycles are shortening at an alarming rate the flexibility of robotic case packing is an important manufacturing advantage to consider.
