KANSAS CITY, MO - 8 MARCH 2006 - Koch Equipment LLC announced today their new offering of German-made MADO grinders and innovative mixer/grinders which enable meat processors to increase production, improve product quality and increase profits.

According to Steve Kingeter, vice president of sales and marketing, "This new, feature-rich, patented mixing/grinding technology from MADO addresses many areas of concern for the small-, mid-, and large-size meat processors. If they want to improve the hygiene of their grinding operation and reduce their sanitation labor expense, MADO is the solution. If they want to reduce the average temperature rise of their finished product, MADO is the solution. If they want to improve particle definition and reduce smear to enhance their product quality, MADO is once again the solution."

Kingeter added, "MADO Grinders are designed with a patented transport feed and cutting system that features two uniquely designed polyoxymethylene feed augers that work together to equally and gently distribute the product resulting in clearer particle definition and reductions in product smear and temperature rise. The processing auger is engineered to drive the knives and compress the product for cutting. Together, the three augers keep the meat flowing forward with less back pressure on the product and absolutely no backflow for continuous grinding output. MADO also incorporates an Unger-style cutting tool system that is designed to produce high quality product with only one pass through the machine, reducing product handling and heat rise. Finally and perhaps the most unique hygienic feature is the auger housing which features a removable 'basket' assembly. The basket prevents meat from traveling backward due to pressure and helps minimize air pockets during the grinding process. Since both the auger and basket are totally removable, the completely smooth housing can be quickly and easily washed and sanitized with no grooves to trap microbial buildup."

Also included in the Company’s new offering is a full line of industrial grinders for very large processing environments that deliver tremendous production from frozen blocks or fresh product in one pass. Like most MADO grinders, industrial models can be fitted with either an Enterprise or Unger cutting system.
