Weigh Labeling

Herbert Industrial is a leading manufacture of weigh label products, from cost effective manual units to leading high speed systems.

Automatic weigh label machines are assembled from four standard applicator heads, with each system being configured to suit customer's specific application.

• Gemini Flexi-Wrap

  Gemini Flexi-Wrap is a high speed weigh label system designed to apply both fixed and catchweight labels as a C-Fold or complete Wrap of the consumer pack.

  As a high performance, PC based solution to weigh labelling, Gemini Flexi-Wrap can be configured as a multiple head machine to apply wrap around labels, top labels, base labels and flash labels.

• Gemini Lightning; Weigh Price Labeling

  Gemini Lightning is a high performance PC based weigh label system designed for both fixed and catchweight products.

  Gemini Lightning can be configured for top labels, base labels, wrap around labels and flash labels, with machines being built to suit customer specifications. The systems are based on standard weigh label, technology modules, but configured to meet a customer's needs.

  In addition Automatic Pack Guides and Automatic Label Head Positioners, designed to facilitate a fast product change-over can be included.

  Sitting above the Gemini technology are two comprehensive software packages;

  Gemini Family Network (GFN) designed to give full management remote control of label template design, PLU programming, production reports and pack traceability.

• Gemini Solo

  Gemini Solo is a medium speed single top applicator weigh label system designed for cost conscious applications. By creating a dedicated single head unit Herbert offer a very price competitive package whilst ensuring that build quality and performance remain uncompromised.If required, an additional print/apply base label module can be added after the Gemini Solo, electronically linked to the Solo controls.

• Gemini Family Network (GFN)

  Gemini Family Network (GFN) is a management tool designed to provide remote control of one or more Gemini machines.

  Label templates, PLU details, totals reports and pack traceability can all be controlled from a central production office.

  GFN can also provide an invaluable tool when connection to an external corporate network is required.

Inspection

Herbert Industrial provides a range of inspection technologies to complement the speed and performance of the weigh label systems.

Vision Inspection is an innovative solution to verify the quality, position and "mix" of labels applied to a consumer fresh food pack.

CW3710 is a high speed checkweigh solution allowing for dedicated average weight control on a labelling line.

MD2000 Metal Detection provides an integral solution for contaminate detection and can be incorporated into a Gemini Weigh Label line.

• Vision Inspection

  Vision QC technology from Herbert Industrial is designed specifically for the inspection of labels and variable information printed on the label.

  Vision software "reads" a number of text fields and determines if the information is correct for the PLU selected, if the correct label has been used, is it the right barcode and is the label properly positioned.

  If a problem is detected automatic pack rejects then segregate failed packs into different chutes.

  A second camera can be added to inspect promotional flash labels to determine if the correct label is being used and positioned correctly for the PLU selected .

  A third camera can also be used to inspect a base label and determine if it is the correct label for use with the top and flash label.

  Vision technology offers a solution to the problem of emergency product withdrawls (EPW) demanded by your customers for failures on label information, or label stock usage.

• CW3710 – Checkweigher

  The Herbert CW3710 Checkweigher delivers a complete solution for average weight and fixed weight analysis.

  Designed to operate as either a stand alone machine, or as part of a network of checkweighers, the CW3710 offers a very reliable and versatile package.

  Conveyor sizes, linear speed, load cell capacity and pack reject system will be designed to suit each application.

• MD2000 - Metal Detection

  The Herbert MD2000 offers a fully integrated metal detector solution for weigh label production lines.

  When linked into the main controls of a Gemini Weigh Labeller, settings and sensitivity of the MD2000 will automatically change subject to the PLU selected by the operator.

  Aperture dimensions of the metal detector head and method of pack reject will be designed to suit specific project application.

  Designed to operate as a "stand alone" cell or to be integrated into a Herbert Auto Pack line the Matrix 80i offers a cost effect method of automating the crate packing function at the end of a food processing line.

• Flexi-Wrap SA

  Flexi-Wrap SA is a stand alone version of the highly successful Herbert Gemini Flexi-wrap weigh label system.

  Flexi-Wrap SA offers a compact and economical solution to labeling fixed weight or average weight (checkweigher required) packs.

  Flexi-Wrap SA works with wide edge leading labels so provides a fast and effective method of applying C-Fold labels without the need to turn packs on a production line.

• Cyclone Flash Labeler

  Cyclone Flash Labeller offers a highly flexible method of applying promotional labels.

  Using an air-blast method of application, with a head that rotates through 360 degrees, Cyclone will operate with a very wide selection of labels.

  Whether labels are top, bottom or side edge leading, the applicator head can be positioned for consistently accurate application.

  Being "non-contact", the Cyclone Air Blast applicator also offers the added benefit of applying labels to delicate food products without causing any damage.

• Cyclone Twin Flash Labeler

  Taurus is a real time printer offering a high degree of pack traceability which can record precise production details and reports. Taurus combines high speed performance with PC based functionality and intelligence. Printing and applying at speeds of up to 120 packs per minute, Taurus operates with the aid of a touch screen, is fully networkable and supports up to four separate print /apply labelers.

  Genesis is a software package designed by Herbert Industrial to combine stand alone or network printers with weight inputs.

  The Genesis printer is programmed via the Genesis Lite software utility to produce labels on demand, or it can be networked with the Genesis Pro package to provide a factory-wide solution for labeling requirements.

• Genesis Lite Software

  Genesis Lite is a software package providing the essential elements necessary to run Genesis OCM as a stand-alone work station.

  A Label Template design and PLU programming utility is run on a convenient PC / Laptop with the Genesis OCM printer connected via a serial cable.

  Once all changes and modifications are completed, the printer is returned to the Genesis OCM and run in operation mode.

• Genesis Pro Network Software

  Genesis Pro is a dedicated software package offering a comprehensive network for the Genesis OCM work stations.

  When installed, a Genesis Pro network will provide a central point from which to control all PLU, label templates, production statistics and reports. Changes to label designs and PLU details can be made remotely and all production can be monitored offering 100% pack traceability.

  With appropriate software modifications the Genesis Pro network can be linked to an organization’s corporate network ensuring that there is no geographical limit to access by authorized users.
