Speedy Labeler for Flexible Packaging

ADM Packaging Technology Pty Ltd has developed the LAV-3 high speed labeler. This versatile machine blows labels onto flexible bags formed on a vertical form fill and seal machine for both intermittent and continuous motion applications.

Each label is fired onto its target with precision and accuracy.

The online labeler uses a narrow arm that slides behind a feed tube of the bag forming tool and is placed into position ready to apply the label.

The speed of the bagmaker is unaffected as each label is fired onto its target with precision and accuracy for each signal.

The placement of labels occurs after each bag is formed and the product is dumped. This allows the labels to stick directly onto the flexible bag using the feedtube as solid back reinforcement.

Old methods such as applying labels by hand and slowing machines down to keep up with the process workers are a thing of the past.

During the run cycle, the labels move into position and are held by a vacuum.

Once the input signal is activated the label is propelled onto the film accurately - every time.

The labeler is supplied with an independent stand for height adjustment and castor wheels with brakes to make the labeler mobile around the plant.

The LAV-3 offers options in other applications, such as applying labels on the top, side, bottom of trays, cartons containers and bottles.

The LCD touch screen diagnostics makes the system reliable for a quick change and can also detect problems during run time, such as empty rolls, missing labels, over and under runs.

This machine is an asset to any company running a VFFS/HFFS machine and other machines requiring labels.

Other options available are print and apply resalable tabs, wipe on, and roll attachments and pick and place.

The machine can be designed for left or right hand. The machine speed can be changed to suit the speed of the job.
