Allen Field, a choice manufacturer of proprietary and custom-designed fittings for the packaging, woodworking and textile Industries, has released the third generation of its Shelf Lock System.
Building upon the success of its original Shelf Lock and Double Pin, which enabled cabinets to be shipped with shelving in place, the Allen Field Shelf Lock System3 (SLS3) is designed to do more with just two clips than any other product on the market.
The SLS3 is comprised of a Shelf Support and a Lock Down Clip. The durable polycarbonate Shelf Support features a unique, low-profile design which contributes to the aesthetic appeal of the cabinetry without sacrificing strength. The polypropylene Lock Down Clip provides a wide holding footprint and constant down pressure on the shelf for superior stability.
During cabinetry assembly, the Lock Down Clip slides between cabinet wall and shelf to snap securely with the Shelf Support. Once the cabinets have been installed, the top section of the Lock Down Clip can be easily removed to provide a cleaner looking cabinet shelf.
The simplicity of the new design greatly enhances aesthetics, makes shipping easier, is more durable to prevent damage that can occur in transit, and eliminates the need to separately ship bags of shelf supports. The SLS3 also costs less, helping to lower the cost per shelf.
“The SLS3 is the direct result of feedback from our customers,” said Andrew Franzone, President, of Allen Field, Inc. “We are ‘problem-solvers’ and are always on the look out for ways we can add real value by designing innovative solutions or improving existing ones.”
