Liquid Nitrogen Injection Systems
Cryotech International has a complete line of liquid nitrogen (LN2) dosing equipment for inerting/nitrogen flushing and pressurization applications. Using advanced vacuum technology for cryogenic transfer, Cryotech engineers designed an ultra-efficient, double walled, vacuum insulated nitrogen dosing unit. Typically installed after the filler and before the capper, the Cryotech doser dispenses a measured amount of LN2. Once the LN2 (-320F/-195C) is introduced into the container, it immediately picks up heat and turns into gaseous nitrogen, expanding 700 times in the process. When trapped inside the container, the gaseous nitrogen creates pressure and adds rigidity to the container. For inerting applications, the rapidly expanding nitrogen are allowed to escape before the product is sealed, flushing oxygen out of the container. Cryotech products include: LCI AB1500 is a medium to high speed LN2 dosing system featuring Allen Bradley based controls that allows discrete dosing for line speeds up to 1000 containers per minute before switching to steady stream mode. LCI S7200 is a medium to high speed LN2 dosing system featuring Siemens based controls that allows discrete dosing for line speeds up to 1200 containers per minute before switching to steady stream mode. The UltraDoser AB1500 is a medium to high speed LN2 dosing system featuring Allen Bradley based controls that allows discrete dosing for line speeds up to 1000 containers per minute before switching to steady stream mode. The UltraDoser S7200 is a medium to high speed LN2 dosing system featuring Siemens based controls that allows discrete dosing for line speeds up to 1200 containers per minute before switching to steady stream mode. The UltraDoser SC350 is ideal for production plants on a budget. It has Siemens based controls that allow discrete dosing up to 350 containers per minute. The Inerter delivers a large volume of LN2 required for food inerting applications such as peanuts, potato chips and snacks. The SoftDose upgrade option offers a gentle delivery that allows the LN2 to sit on top of the hot product, eliminating the violent reaction typically associated with nitrogen dosing of hot-fill applications. The optional Hot Chute, horizontal dosing extension, atomizes liquid nitrogen for gentle controlled dosing at line speeds up to 400 cpm.
