Security Inks
Cortegra offers a wide range of covert and overt options associated with security ink printing. The overt options provide color shifting, which utilizes a range of techniques, including photochromic. We can provide these on a range of substrates, including foil.
With our covert options, we can provide reactive inks (change color with a special pen and go back to original color) to a range of taggants which are readable under UV or IR or with specialized digital readers integrated into your data systems for authentication or track and trace. These features offer the ability to track diversion or anti-counterfeit issues.
Taggants can also be included in the substrate to provide additional layers of security. The taggants can be customized to your application and provided only to you as the user which will provide a higher degree of security than those with limited features of visual identification under UV or IR.

Security Substrates
Cortegra offers a range of security substrates, from tamper evident frangible to those embedded with magnetic threads and other unique features including taggants, reactive chemicals that change color with a pen, then change back to their original color. These substrates in addition with the security ink features from printing provide a significant layering approach to deter counterfeiters.

Tamper Evident Substrates effectively deters re-marking and counterfeiting fraud, and helps prevent an economic impact on brand owners. The label face stock combines a tamper evident feature with covert authentication. Labels using the substrate are very difficult to remove . . . and can be easily distinguished from a fake.
