Cortegra Group, Inc. today announced that its subsidiary, Creative Press, Inc., will build a 62,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Vanderburgh Industrial Park. Construction on the approximately $6 million project will begin immediately with completion expected by the end of 2007.

“We are pleased to reinforce our commitment to our employees and the City by building a new manufacturing facility in Evansville,” said Cortegra President, Victor L. Dixon, in making the announcement. “Cortegra is recognized for its printing expertise and the high-quality products its employees produce for the pharmaceutical industry. Combining our two current facilities into one building will allow us to further enhance manufacturing and distribution capabilities and remain competitive in the markets we serve.”

Creative Press currently has manufacturing facilities on South Fulton Avenue and Claremont Avenue in Evansville. The company’s Fulton Avenue location is being acquired by the State of Indiana in connection with its plans to reconfigure the Fulton Avenue exit from the Lloyd Expressway.

Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new facility will take place on May 8 at 11a.m. The building project is being managed by CRESA Partners, a corporate real estate advisory service, and Industrial Contractors, Inc. (ICI) has been named general contractor.

Creative Press currently has 85 employees in Evansville; the employment level is not expected to immediately change with occupancy of the new facility. Creative Press was acquired by Cortegra in May 2006.
