CombiScale Inc. is pleased to introduce their third generation of multi-head weighers, the HD3 model. Available in 10 or 14-Head configurations with 2.5 liter clam-shell design weigh buckets. These new and improved combination scales are 30% faster than previous models and are ideal for a variety of applications, such as confectionary products, snacks foods, seafood, poultry, produce, and other frozen and fresh foods.    

The HD3 model weighs the product and then selects the best combination of buckets to achieve the predetermined weight. Individual microprocessors assure high-speed response-time and extremely accurate readings. Capable of handling very light or fragile products with ease, the HD3 uses a load cell for level control; thus, providing consistent performance by controlling the stop and start functions for product in-feed. The HD3 features storable operating parameters, such as stagger dump for products that risk clogging, as well as memorized calibration values which eliminates the need to use dead weights to recalibrate the load cells.  All of these features contribute to the HD3 providing accuracy on average within 1 gram or less, depending on the product, allowing a reduction in product variations and a significant improvement in production output.    

Equipped with a new, easy-to-operate, 10.4” touch-screen and operating software, the HD3 CombiScale is able to create a greater number of weight combinations to achieve the desired target weight.     

The HD3 easily functions and integrates with any type of packaging equipment to create a fully automated packaging system. Other standard features include a vibratory cone, quick-release contact parts, stepper motors, digital control logic and recipe storage memory.  Wash down and dimpled stainless steel constructions are available as options.
