Closure Systems International (CSI) announced today the launch of Aqua-Max 30.25 mm lightweight water closures. The new closures provide both significant packaging cost savings and environmental benefits to water bottlers. Aqua-Max closures offer up to 30% weight savings versus current 30.25 closures in the marketplace.
"CSI's new Aqua-Max is the lightest weight closure commercially available for the popular 30.25 water bottle finish," stated John Greiner, CSI Global Marketing Manager. "With its advanced lightweight design, Aqua-Max is the best choice for improved sustainability and material savings on the existing 30.25 finish (high)." Line trials are currently underway globally with major water customers. The new closures are part of CSI's total capping solution for bottlers, which include ease of conversion and expert technical services. CSI effectively combines high performance closures, high-speed packaging equipment and technical services to deliver the lowest cost to customers.
"In addition to substantial material savings, Aqua-Max closures deliver outstanding sealing performance and reliability for still water products," Greiner added. Consumers benefit from tamper evident band-break before seal loss, thus ensuring maximum security and product integrity. Product purity is further assured with the use of materials which fully retain the product's intended taste and odor characteristics. Product branding is enhanced with optional top print decoration, embossing, and color alternatives.
