Biopack Environmental Solutions is to supply 100 per cent biodegradable packaging to Chinese-based Jiaming Electronic Factory for its range of mobile phones, batteries and accessories.
Biopack is a US company with a production base in China. It expects to supply the electronics company with around 6 million units of packaging a year.
Jiaming, which supplies products to Europe, Asia and North America, has been prompted to switch from its existing plastics and styrofoam materials as a result of European packaging waste directives.
