BASF Catalysts high performance mineral products work to improve and/or maintain plastic packaging/ coating performance at competitive pricing levels. Some, like ASP® hydrous aluminosilicates, extend titanium dioxide while maintaining whiteness and opacity and reducing costs. For even higher whiteness, Ultrex® calcined extender pigments also act as cost-effective titanium dioxide extenders. Alsibronz® mica products can be used to reinforce plastic or other film coatings to improve barrier properties.
