WORLD-BEAM QS18 Background Suppression sensors will only detect objects within their established sensing range and ignore all others outside the range regardless of the object`s surface reflectivity. Fixed-field models are ready to use ``right out of the box,`` providing a precise cutoff range at 50 or 100 mm. Fixed-field sensors do not contain any adjustment push buttons, DIP switches or knobs, and are less at risk for any tampering or altering on the factory floor. Adjustable-field QS18 models are also available, providing the ability to adjust the cutoff point from 20 to 100 mm.
