Accent Packaging Equipment is a very young company, starting operations in 2005. APE was started to fill a void that was created by the shut down of a local label applicator manufacturer.
Well, the void was filled but years of experience in the packaging industry, experience of integrating entire packaging lines, the trust of fortune 500 companies and having a great rapport with many North American packaging machinery manufacturers moved APE quickly into the direction of a system integrator.
FILLING
Piston Filler
The principal operation of a piston filler can be compared with the engine of a car. When the piston pulls back, the intake valve opens and the vacuum created by the retracting piston sucks the product into the cylinder. On the forward stroke of the piston, the intake valve closes and the fill valve opens. Now, the piston pushes the product into your container. Hence, it is called piston filler.A piston filler is best used when the viscosity of the product to be filled becomes too heavy or particles are in the product. Products include creams, oils, honey, shampoo, soap, dressings, and ketchup.
Weigh Filler
There are two ways of filling powder or granule’s. Auger or Weigh Filling. Filling Powder with a Weigh Filler is typically the more precise method of filling powder and also more versatile. A single lane system for small production can't be beaten with price and accuracy. Multi lane Weigh Filler systems allow you to increase speed or the filling of multiple components into one container.
Twenty five years experience in scale automation and filling powder has produced the ME109, the most foolproof and economical weighing system available. The ME109 was designed by coffee people, for coffee people for fine ground coffee or tea to whole beans or other free flowing dry products. A 2 digit code recalls factory set parameters for commonly used weights (2, 4, 8, 12, 16oz/50, 100, 250, 500g), or as requested, with accuracy to 1/100oz (1/10gram).In addition 250 custom products/ weights can be addend with no special knowledge or training. This means the Weigh Filler runs the same every time, without set up or adjustment. All contact parts are stainless steel, removable and washable for quick easy disassembly and cleaning.
Pressure Filler
When products foam during the fill cycle, regular gravity fillers are no longer suitable. Pressure that builds in the container needs to be withdrawn back into the overflow tank. This can only be accomplished by sealing the top of the container with a soft rubber gasket. The pressure overflow filler "dives" the nozzle into the spout of your container, sealing the opening of the container and opening the nozzle for the fill cycle to begin. The fill cycle of the overflow filler is time bound, meaning, a preset time is allocated to fill. Naturally, not all nozzles fill at the same speed and therefore one bottle might be full before the other. Now, the nozzle pumps liquid at the bottom and withdraws it again from the center of the nozzle until the cycle time is completed. This assures an even fill level across all heads of your pressure filler.
LABELING
Semi Automatic Round Product Label Machines
This uniquely designed machine will accommodate a full range of round products, from 1/4" to 6" diameter, without the need for costly attachments or modifications. The 'open carriage' design allows the label applicator to apply onto products of virtually any length using on standard unit. Most tapered products can also be accommodated on our standard system,
Labelers ALS-204
The Avery Dennison line of labelers allows for a wide variety of different speeds and label sizes. A standard labeler such as the ALS-204 allows for the application of 4" wide labels at speeds up to 40 meters or 130' per minute. The ALS-206 labeler gives you more room for 6" wide labels but restricts the speed to 30 meters or 98' per minute. Faster labelers are certainly available.
Labeler Specifications:
- Stepper Driven Motor at 130' or 40m maximum dispensing speed

If you are a producer in multi-shift operation, your products will need an identity to guarantee their sustained success on the market. Labels, applied reliably, provide your products with this unmistakable form of branding.
For precisely this purpose you will need a labeler that can label large product volumes in very short periods. You require exceptional label dispensing accuracy that always positions the label in the correct place. In brief: You want labeler efficiency!
The ALS family of labelers represents the latest generation of labeler, which offers a very high standard of efficiency. This labeler is suitable for all self-adhesive labels, as well as for usage in the area of logistics. Labelers in any operation cause the most trouble of any machinery. That's why you need reliability in a labeler that gives you the freedom to walk away from it. ALS labelers have been designed in accordance with the tried and tested Avery Dennison Standard, which distinguishes this range of labelers from all others, and makes the ALS labeler so reliable.
OTHER EQUIPMENT
Tray Formers
Our tray formers are all engineered to form corrugated trays only. They are all horizontal format tray formers, meaning that the tray blank travels through the machine horizontally. IPak tray formers are manufactured with all mechanical drive systems, which is to say that all functions of forming including blank transfer, pre-folding, compression and mandrel actuation are linked mechanical operations. The purpose is to ensure smooth, reliable and accurate operating cycles and to simplify the manufacture, operation and maintenance of the machines. Our tray formers come in different model configurations to form different tray styles. The size, complexity of operation and price of the machine is dependent on the style of tray to be formed. Our experience and engineering capabilities enable us to manufacture machines to form tray styles that are beyond the capability of some of our competitors.
