Biography

Michael Richmond is a strategic business and technical leader with 25 years experience across Packaging and Technology and Integrated Solutions (PTIS), Kellogg's, Kraft and Michigan State University (MSU). Prior to building PTIS, Dr. Richmond successfully developed and led Packaging Organizations at both Kellogg's and Kraft. At Kellogg Dr. Richmond developed and implemented start-up departments including Technology Discovery and Global Packaging Innovation. Commercial novel packaging implemented included SnackUm’s®, Snak-Stix®, Special K Plus® cereal carton and Country Inn® cartons. During his tenure at Kraft, superior new packaging developed included Breyers® rounded rectangular cartons, easy open/reclosable cheese packaging, microwavable bottles and aseptic multipack dipping packages. Dr. Richmond has developed and implemented successful innovation and productivity programs that have resulted in over 50 new growth initiatives and over $20 million in packaging cost reductions. He also led the research and development component of strategic sourcing at both companies resulting in millions of dollars in savings. Brian Wagner, Cofounder of PTIS is an experienced packaging professional and innovation leader with over 18 years in packaging, business development, sales, marketing and operations. He has a track record of consistently increasing top line and bottom line sales for both privately and publicly held companies. As Manager, Global Cereal Packaging Innovation for Kellogg Company, Brian helped to develop the organization and to drive innovation initiatives. His effectiveness as a change leader has contributed to the success of many companies. In addition to Brian's experience in the Fortune 100 sector with General Foods, Burger King, Sara Lee and Kellogg's, he has been successful in growing smaller organizations. Brian Wagner has experience across the consumer products, package converting, raw material, government / military, academic and non-profit sectors. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging from MSU and has completed numerous graduate level courses.
