CombiScale Inc. is pleased to introduce their third generation of multi-head weighers, the HD3 model. Available in 12 and 14 head 2.5L bucket configurations, these new and improved combination scales are 30% faster than previous models and are ideal for a variety of applications such as candy, frozen and fresh seafood, poultry and produce.  The HD3 now accommodates a maximum weight of 66 lbs (30 kg) compared to 7 lbs (3.2kg) on the previous model.  

Featuring individual microprocessors that increase speed up to 150 cycles per minute, the HD3 uses a staggered dump delay which reduces large pieces of product getting stuck in the VFFS forming tube and increases the product pass rate to 99.5%. The product is also discharged faster; thus, increasing production speeds.  Product waste is then decreased due to the overlapping closure of the clamshell buckets.   

The HD3 model weighs the product; then selects the best combination of buckets to achieve the predetermined weight.  Utilizing the load cell level controls, the HD3 provides consistent performance by controlling the stop and start functions for product infeed.  The memorized calibration value featured in the HD3 also eliminates the need to use dead weights to recalibrate the load cells.  Another unique feature of this model is its ability to run two products to be weighed at the same time.  All of these features generate accuracy within 1 gram (0.04 oz), allowing these combination scales to reduce product variations and significantly improve production output.    

Equipped with a new, easy to operate, 10.4” touch screen and operating software, the HD3 CombiScale is able to create a greater number of weight combinations to achieve the desired target weight.   

This model easily functions and integrates with any type of packaging equipment to create a fully automated packaging system. Standard features include a vibratory cone, removable pans and buckets, digital control logic and recipe storage memory.  Wash down and dimpled stainless steel constructions are also available.
