Numerous published reports by the ASC on the state of the industry, future trends and developments that should be tracked assist our member companies in making better strategic plans. Some reports are provided as a members-only benefit and cannot be gained anywhere other than as an ASC member. ASC offers:
2005-2007 ASC North American Market Study for Adhesives and Sealants with Global Overview
The 2005-2007 ASC North American Market Study for Adhesives and Sealants with Global Overview features market data and analysis on adhesives and sealants for North America, Western Europe, the Far East, Latin America and Rest of World; market share and forecasted growth rate information on adhesives and sealants, broken down by technology and end-use application; and expanded data for the paperboard/packaging adhesives market and consumer/DIY segments.
ASC Benchmarking Survey Reports
ASC exclusively offers its manufacturer members three unique benchmarking survey reports each year, which include:
- ASC Industry Adhesive and Sealant Sales Survey (North America)
- Financial Operating Cost (FOC) Survey
- Compensation and Benefit (C&B) Survey
These reports are made available at no charge to participating companies only and contain important information that enables companies to compare their operations to the industry at large.
For each report, member companies are asked to provide data directly to an independent certified public accounting firm called Veris Consulting, whom the ASC has commissioned since 1985. All member data is held in strict confidence, and no other company (including the ASC) has access to the information. Reports contain data reported in aggregate form.
ASTM - ISO Standards Comparative Guide
This study provides a general comparative reference of adhesive testing standards between ASTM International standards and related ISO (International Standards Organization) standards. This study is focused on ICS field 83 (Rubber and Plastics), Section 83.180 (Adhesives) within the overall ISO structure.
ASC commissioned Chemsultants International Inc. to develop this initial repository of knowledge, deemed to be useful in identifying key similarities and differences between the comparable adhesive testing methods of the two international standards bodies. It is limited to an overall focus specific to general adhesive testing methods and does not purport to address adhesive testing methodologies that may be inherent in the overall standards of/for specific industries or applications such as Building Materials, Furniture, Footwear, or others.
Strategic Market Growth Program: Tools, Resources and Market Intelligence
ASC led a select member funded research project a few years ago examining specific industries that have the potential to use more adhesives and sealants than are currently being consumed. This two year project produced not only a wealth of raw data helpful to companies looking to broaden their customer base within those industry segments but also a host of extremely useful tools to accomplish that goal. For the first time since the project was completed, the complete set of project deliverables is being made available to companies that did not participate in the study. ASC is pleased to make these resources available in total for a price of $49,500.
Core components include: in-depth focus group research; comprehensive market research findings for various structural adhesive target market segments; detailed value chain analyses for these market segments; and a comparative cost model tool to assist companies in calculating and evaluating the costs of selecting adhesives over mechanical and other types of incumbent fasteners.
