A free on-line seminar on sustainable packaging design will take place in October, organised by Envirowise, a Government-backed initiative that offers advice to businesses.

The ‘Cleaner Design Webinar’, Envirowise’s first on-line seminar, will include live presentations on designing green packaging, and an update on legislation affecting designers and manufacturers.

The event will also feature an interactive design workshop, a question-and-answer session and a downloadable document outlining product packaging redesign solutions.

‘The “webinar” is designed to help businesses grasp the environmental and commercial opportunities associated with cleaner design,’ says Envirowise cleaner design specialist Jenni Rosser. ‘Businesses simply cannot afford to ignore the advantages that can be gained through sustainable design.’

The Cleaner Design Webinar will be hosted via the Envirowise website on 11 October at 11.30am.
