New Slider Technology Adds Consumer Convenience and Protects Integrity of Large-Format Packages

Zip-Pak, the world leader in resealable packaging technology, will showcase its newest innovation - the ZIP-PAK^® SLIDER^TM for large format bags - at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2007, October 15-17, at booth C-1611. This technology is specifically designed to enable brands featured in large format bags to provide consumer-preferred convenience, while maintaining package integrity.

The ZIP-PAK^® SLIDER^TM for large format bags ensures the same consumer experience with packages ranging from one pound to 55 pounds and is the first of its kind to be applied without the need for package alteration or modification to equipment. The technology can be used on multi-wall paper and laminate pouches, and is the only slider system available for use on woven pouch formats, allowing brand owners serving a variety of markets to add convenience to their packaging.

The technology is designed to withstand the rigors of the distribution channel, and Zip-Pak will demonstrate its significant durability by conducting ‘drop tests’ of large format packages featuring the ZIP-PAK^® SLIDER^TM every hour at its booth throughout the show. Visitors can also meet with technical experts to learn more about the technology and its applications, which range from pet food and wild bird seed to lawn and garden products.

Zip-Pak will also highlight the newest member of its ZIP-PAK^® Press-to-Close^TM family of zipper technologies, the ZIP-PAK^® DoubleZip. To ensure complete bag closure, the DoubleZip features two sets of interlocking profiles, and is ergonomically designed to guide consumers’ fingers when closing a package.
