These inks are designed to have low water-fastness on non-porous substrates. This allows the inks to be employed as temporary marking, which can be later soaked or wiped off with water. The inks are based on high purity raw materials to give exceptional "trace free" water wash-off characteristics, and to eliminate any corrosion marking on surfaces such as steel. The inks have low odour and are fast drying (typically less than 3 sec depending on ambient conditions) making them suitable for printing on both porous and non-porous substrates in environments where there is sensitivity to odour/taint.

JetStream TMK 7210 (Black) Alkali Wash-off

TMK 7210 is a ketone-based ink that is very fast drying (typically less than 0.5 seconds) and gives an intense black print with excellent adhesion, gloss and abrasion resistance on many substrates. The ink can also be used as an alternative to the general purpose ink GPK 7203 when exceptional drop quality is required. TMK 7210 is formulated to give high quality drop placement needed in small (micro) printing applications including bar coding.

TMK 7210 finds application in temporary marking as the dried film remains soluble in dilute aqueous alkali. The ink is also used in situations where "difficult" substrates such as untreated polyethylene are encountered.

JetStream SS-Steam Sterilisable Marking Inks

JetStream SS Series of inks are solvent based products for use in deflected drop (continuous) ink jet printers.

JetStream SSE 7242 (Black)
JetStream GPE 3213 (Red)

On non-porous surfaces, dry time is typically less than 3 seconds depending on ambient conditions.

The SSE series of inks will adhere to coated board and many plastics such as polyester & ABS, as well as metals.

HRE 7243 Black ink can be used as an alternative to SSE 7242 where high resolution drop placement is required on non-porous substrates.

JetStream FRK 9201 (Clear / Invisible)

This fluorescent clear ink is based on a formulation which is resistant to steam sterilisation and offers a very fast drying option with novel fluorescent properties. The ink has good adhesion and abrasion properties on a range of substrates from paper / board through to metals and plastics. Corona or flame treatment will improve adhesion to polyolefins.

Under illumination by Ultra Violet light in the range 340-380nm, the ink shows a dramatic bright blue-white response at 430nm.

JetStream Coding Marking Applications

Jetstream FR-Fluorescent Readable Marking Inks

JetStream FR Series of inks are solvent based products for use in deflected drop (continuous) ink jet printers. The inks are formulated to be read under illumination by Ultra Violet light, when the full impact of their formulation becomes apparent.

JetStream FRS 2203 (Orange)
This ink is based on a combination of low volatility organic solvents and is formulated for marking porous surfaces such as paper and cardboard. The ink contains a blend of dyes that are activated by long wave UV to produce a bright orange fluorescence in the range of 600-650 nanmeters which can easily be distinguished from the typical optical brighteners used in stationery such as letters and envelopes.

JetStream FRK 4207 (Magenta)
JetStream FRK 9201 (Clear / Invisible)

These inks are very fast drying ketone based inks and have good adhesion and abrasion properties on a range of substrates from paper / board through to metals and plastics. Corona or flame treatment will improve adhesion to polyolefins.

The ink is formulated to give exceptionally high quality drop formation, allowing accurate drop placement needed in small (micro) printing or bar coding applications.

Jetstream HRE-High Resolution Ethanol Inks

Jetstream HRE inks are alcohol based inks suitable for use in most deflected drop continuous ink jet printers.   The low odour of these inks makes it suitable for use in most environments, but especially those where lack of smell/taint is important.

The most important and distinguishing characteristic of these inks is their use of SunJet "Drop Enhancement Technology". The special formulation means that the printed drops hold together on non-porous substrates unlike other ethanol inks, which spread out. The drops remain small and sharp and have the appearance and therefore print quality of MEK inks - but are ketone-free.

JetStream HRE 7243 (Black)

This ink is an ethanol, dye based, ink which is resistant to steam sterilisation. The ink will adhere to paper, board, many plastics (such as polystyrene, polyester, ABS etc) and metals - it has exceptional print quality on non-porous substrates due to the "Drop Enhancement Technology".

JetStream HRE 7304 (Black)

The use of ethanol as solvent and carbon black pigment makes HRE 7304 an Environmentally Friendly ink, containing no heavy metal.

Being based on carbon black pigment, this ink is lightfast.   HRE 7304 is suitable for many substrates, including paper/board, many plastics (e.g. polystyrene, polyester, ABS etc) and metals - it has exceptional print quality on non-porous substrates due to "Drop Enhancement Technology".

Crystal UPA-UV Curing Paste Jet Inks

Crystal UPA jet ink is an acrylate based UV-curing product, which has the form of a paste-like solid at room temperature. The product is intended for jetting through piezo DOD printheads at elevated temperatures. Once the jetted drops contact the substrate (at ambient temperature) they rapidly solidify and can then be UV cured by conventional UV sources. This rapid solidification allows their use on porous substrates, where conventional liquid UV-curing jet inks would penetrate and give poor print quality and be difficult to cure. The inks may also be used where three dimensional details or structures need to be "built" (e.g. rapid prototyping, 3-d modelling etc). In these applications the ink will solidify to form the structure, which can then be cured to crosslink the acrylate monomers.
