RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology has appreciably gained in significance in recent years. It is a contactless identification procedure that allows individual labels to be written, read and even edited remotely by way of radio signals. This greatly extends the ability to trace products through every stage of the supply chain, from production to the shelf. RFID solutions from CFS
CFS offers automated and fully integrated RFID solutions for all packaging machines. A smart label (transponder) is applied by a cross web labeller from the TiroLabel® range. The smart labels are inscribed with all the necessary information, by way of a built-in antenna, during the packaging process. This way, all data required to ensure product traceability are unmistakably assigned to each individual pack. With the aid of web-based solutions, CFS offers a full range of interfaces to facilitate processing of the relevant data generated by the customer’s ERP systems or other higher-level machine control systems, such as TrackMax®.
