EPSE, the European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders association assembles the major players active in the European market for polycarbonate clear sheets. Under the umbrella of EuPC (www.eupc.org) in Brussels it provides a forum for manufacturers to address the issues of European legislation and regulation affecting polycarbonate sheets to provide for sustainable solutions and ensure a high level of quality to the consumer.

Next to the general and board meetings, EPSE has a Technical Committee which concentrates among other issues, on CE-Marking and standards and on the development of voluntary quality standards.

EPSE also recently created a Marketing Committee, which gathered for the first time on 20 June 2005 in Brussels. Under the Chairmanship of David Gallina of Dott. Gallina Srl, EPSE wants to create more visibility and public awareness for PC sheets and their sustainable applications through the development of a number of marketing activities.

Among these activities are the enlargement of EPSE website www.epse.org for further information on a wider range of products of EPSE members. More technical information on applications and use of polycarbonate sheets shall also be provided. In addition to these measures a leaflet with information on EPSE, its members and their high-quality products will be published and spread among interested groups.

The sector group and its committees will meet on a regular basis to attain its objectives through sustainable solutions in line with the European legislation.
