Flexible and specialist packaging producer Clondalkin Group (Dublin / Ireland; www.clondalkin-group.com), has increased its presence in North America through the acquisition of Direct Plastics Group (Orangeville, Ontario / Canada; www.directplasticsgroup.com). Direct Plastics, which includes flexible packaging manufacturer and printer Nico Films, supplies high quality packaging products to the frozen food, confectionery, horticulture and animal care markets. In 2005 the company acquired the assets of Orangeville-based Performance Packaging and relocated its operations to the newly-purchased facility. Clondalkin has 14 manufacturing facilities across the USA and in Puerto Rico.
