Plastic packaging manufacturer Superfos (Vipperoed / Denmark; www.superfos.com) has paid SEK 250m (EUR 27m) to buy Mipac (Mullsjö / Sweden), a privately owned injection moulding company. Established in 2002, Mipac produces moulded tubs and containers, principally for the retail food industry, with the ice cream market an important share of the business. It employs 65 staff and has an annual turnover of SEK 200m, with an associated EBITDA of SEK 46m. The management will remain in their current roles to ensure continuity with customers. The acquisition lifts annual turnover at Superfos, which is owned by two private equity firms, to EUR 350m.
