Packaging Fresh - Cut Produce
The Fresh-cut produce is a difficult application and PFM-MBP has solved it with excellent results. Direct wash-down of the multihead weigher, perfect distribution of the product on the vibrating channels, absolute precision in weigh, aesthetically perfect packaging and well proportioned, flexible wrapper, easily washable, protected from the external environment, this is what we guarantee.
The multihead weighers have been specifically developed for the fresh-cut produce sector. The feeding buckets are large but do not disperse the product, the central cone assures a perfect distribution of the product onto the vibrating channels whose operating sequence is based on the asymmetrical principle properly developed by MBP to guarantee the maximum flow of the product. Moreover the weigher has an IP 65 protection grade and therefore it allows the complete wash-down. The structure is divided into independent sectors (XM Step version), interchangeable, complete with the mechanics and the hardware for data acquisition. Even though the weigher needs no particular maintenance and its reliability is very high and in case of need it is possible to extract a faulty sector and replace it with a new one in a matter of minutes. The weigher is back in production in no time.
The wrapper is a concentrate of specific solutions. The MBP anti-clogging system ensures the correct product flow, the Hermetic Box structure of the machine protects the mechanical and hardware components from the external environment, the forming collar is supplied complete with quick locking system allowing its replacement in a few minutes. The high resolution colour touch screen allows to quickly recall a saved recipe and it includes also the sealing temperatures settings and controls.
On request, it is possible, by means of an Ethernet card, to connect the weigher and wrapper to the PFM service center. It is therefore possible to support the operator during the machine setting or quickly identify the possible trouble and order the spare parts. It is possible to download software updates or remotely control the production data and/or recipes, production statistics and print data through a PC that includes internet explorer and is connected to the internet.

Specialized Loading Machines and Systems
The world of flow pack packaging for fruit and vegetables may be synthesized as follows:
Broad-leafed vegetables of variable sizes: in this case a flow pack with LVA system, which automatically regulates the length of the packaging according to the length of the product, needs to be used. Flow pack systems should also be easier to clean and maintain. In this case the ideal, specifically designed packaging machine is the SHAMAL model.
Washed and chopped vegetables (also called the IV range). In this case a vertical packaging machine (Vertical Form Fill Seal), complete with 14-head multi-headed weighing machine, which has to be designed specially for this specific sector, needs to be used. PFM has the ideal solution designed and constructed by MBP.
Plastic or cardboard trays containing fruit or vegetables. Loading of the trays onto the flow pack may be performed automatically or manually. PFM has both solutions for low, medium and high-speed packaging. It is fundamentally important, especially in the case of automatic loading, to guarantee continuous operation of the line without accidental or other types of stops. PFM has developed highly efficient systems that guarantee an average productivity close to 100%.

Hurricane - Machine for High-Speed Packaging
HURRICANE: Horizontal flow-wrap type packaging machine for producing packs sealed on three sides from a roll of heat-sealable packaging film. Hurricane unites a high degree of operating flexibility with an excellent production capacity.
The maximum packaging speed is 100 mechanical cycles per minute while the average set-up changing time is about 3 minutes. For packaging products in the foodstuffs sector in general, as well as cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, stationery products and many other products.

Shamal - Horizontal Flow Wrap
SHAMAL is a horizontal flow wrap type packaging machine that produces pillow bag in air-tight form as well with three seals originating from a wrapping material sealer reel.
