This position has been reached by successful integration of a series of international acquisitions since the mid 1990s. Paramelt originates from the first wax factory in The Netherlands which was founded in 1898. It is a highly efficient company with a wealth of experience and expertise.
In recent years Paramelt has been transformed from a manufacturer of primarily specialty wax blends for use in e.g. cheese coatings, flexible packaging, cosmetics, and tires into a more diversified company that is also active in the field of adhesives and aqueous dispersions. Waxes
Waxes have a unique set of properties which make them very suitable for a wide range of applications. Paramelt has specialized itself for more than 100 years in these products and as a result now is Europe`s leading specialty wax supplier.

Adhesives
Paramelt is the leading producer of adhesives in the Benelux. All the water-based, powder and reactive adhesives are manufactured at the Veendam (NL) location, while the Heerhugowaard (NL) plant is equipped with the latest hotmelt production techniques.
Paramelt adhesives are applied in a wide variety of products ranging from in-mould labeling to envelopes and sandwich panels to air filters.
Dispersions
Paramelt began actively developing its activities in the field of water based emulsions and dispersions in the early 1990´s. These water based dispersions of waxes and polymers are used as coatings, additives and processing aids in the packaging, chemical and cheese industry.
The success of this new product line is the result of intensive tailored product development to fulfill specific customer needs. Paramelt is now a development partner for a number of well-known companies.
Complementary to hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon wax based cheese coatings, Paramelt Veendam produces a range of copolymer based dispersions for coating cheese.
