On the heels of the recent acquisition of Vigitek, a pioneer and leader in print inspection technology, QuadTech today announced it will feature its newly enhanced Autotron 2600 Register Guidance System with ClearLogic and Heliostat 300 Electrostatic Assist, as well as Vigitek’s QX-100 100 per cent Print Inspection with 100 per cent Defect Detection at Drupa in Düsseldorf, as the company builds a stronger product portfolio for its packaging customers.
The enhanced solutions from QuadTech will be on display at a time when packaging is seen as a critical component of a product’s overall brand. In fact, packaging appearance and colour quality are often recognised as determining factors for discerning consumers making purchases at supermarkets, at retailers, or anywhere final buying decisions are made.
‘Today, consumers have more product choices and options than ever,’ said Karl Fritchen, president and CEO of QuadTech. ‘For many companies, positive brand identification has become increasingly dependent on package quality, which is why business-building quality integrity was our top priority in developing these technologies.’
The QuadTech Autotron 2600 Register Guidance System has already proven itself as the complete register control system for large-scale packaging printers, with hundreds of installations worldwide. The latest version of the QuadTech Autotron 2600 with ClearLogic features a new user interface that simplifies set up for the operator, saving time and money during the make ready process. Renowned accuracy of registration complemented by modularity, flexibility and cost-effectiveness, make it suitable for use across the widest range of gravure packaging applications.
QuadTech will also show its improved Heliostat 300, the latest version of its Electrostatic Assist (ESA) system used extensively by gravure printers of packaging and publication products. The Heliostat recently underwent a redesign that includes new and improved amorphous brushes for transmission of the electric charge to the impression roller for enhanced ink transfer ultimately reducing common quality issues including dot skip, haze and streaking.
Vigitek’s QX-100 print inspection and defect detection technology will also be presented. Featuring industry-leading inspection technology that provides 100 per cent defect detection 100 per cent of the time, the QX-100 provides the industry unequaled predictable quality and dependability. Additional options for reporting and defect removal optimize quality control and reduce costs.
QuadTech is strongly focused on becoming the print industry’s global technology leader by offering high quality products and establishing a close bond with its customers. The company understands that expanding its global reach in the packaging industry begins with clear one-on-one communication.
‘QuadTech engineers leverage their superior skill with a genuine desire to see our customers succeed,’ said Fritchen. ‘QuadTech is more than just a supplier to our customers. We’re a partner in their success. These two solutions being exhibited at Drupa will go a long way toward cementing us as the foremost technological experts in the packaging industry.’
Through the acquisition of Vigitek, QuadTech further strengthens the company’s leadership position in the industry, as well as adds to the full array of products and services it can offer to meet it’s customers’ needs. |
