Packaging Products Corp. of Rome is the latest local manufacturer to be honored by the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce's Salute to Manufacturing program.

The Packaging Products display is located in the chamber's lobby at 1 Riverside Parkway through July 3.

The privately held flexographic printer/converting company rovides surface printed materials, adhesive laminations and extrusion laminations printed in up to 10 colors. It also has patented, proprietary technology to provide packaging with controlled respiration for the meat and produce industries.

Packaging Products produces packaging for Sara Lee Banana Nut Muffins, Uncle Ray's Potato Chips, Budd's Best Cookies, Topps trading cards, McDonaldland Cookies and more.

Salute to Manufacturing was introduced in April, and honors Rome and Floyd County-based manufacturers for their positive impact on the community and its economy.

Previously honored companies include Suzuki Manufacturing of America Corp., OTR Wheel Engineering, Inc., Suhner Manufacturing Inc., Brugg Cable, Brugg Wire Rope, Neaton Rome, The Fairbanks Co., Branson Tractors, Pirelli Tire North America and Profile Extrusion.
