According to a UK research study funded by Zip-Pak the world leader in resealable packaging, consumers overwhelmingly prefer resealable slider closures on their product packaging, and yet retail shelves do not always reflect this preference. The research suggests the need for European brand owners to consider resealable technology on their product packaging for greater consumer convenience. To support this research, Zip-Pak offers retrofitting as an integrated service package to incorporate resealable technology on flexible packaging lines.
This technology is on display during K 2007 at Zip-Pak's booth E-19 in Hall 12. Alternatively, visit www.zippak.com for additional information.
"Despite common perceptions, brand owners today can incorporate resealable technology on their packaging without the expensive and time consuming investment in a new packaging line," says Robert Hogan, Director of International Sales and Marketing at Zip-Pak. "With Zip-Pak's help, retrofitting an existing flexible packaging system represents only 20 to 30 percent of the cost of an entirely new line - an economical upfront investment with long-term gains for the future. This is also a great way to stay ahead of the competition in the marketplace."
Cost-effective, customized solution
Zip-Pak has evolved its business by bringing together equipment manufacturing, zipper supplies, and full integration knowledge to help brand owners make the transition to resealable technology more easily. The only company of its kind with in-house equipment capabilities, Zip-Pak can handle any resealable packaging challenge to produce desired results for the brand owners.
According to Zip-Pak, there is virtually no limitation on what types of flexible packaging, machinery and products that can be adapted to use zippers. This technology fits into the basic operating parameters of pressure and heat without significantly slowing the operation or requiring additional skills. Even machines older than 30 years can apply zipper systems. In addition, Zip-Pak's engineering team retrofits packaging systems with minimal disruptions to existing packaging lines, making the transition a smooth and natural process.
Working with machine manufacturers, Zip-Pak creates customized solutions that will work around various issues that may arise. "Only a true retrofitting partner like Zip-Pak, with a European team of skilled sales engineers can advise on where consumers prefer zippers to be placed, how they make decisions in stores and what they value in terms of convenience," says Hogan.
